Livestock policy covers a wide range of animals under the all risk of mortality. This cover can also be extended to include theft and transit risk. Poultry insurance covers death of insured poultry due to controllable diseases, accidents, illness and the policy can be extended to include theft of insured birds. Crop insurance covers crops such as maize, wheat, barley and rice against physical loss or damage of/ to a growing crop. Cover in respect to perennial crop can also be effected.

This policy indemnifies the insured animals against DEATH only of the insured animal(s) during the period of Insurance at the specified location as a result of:-

• Accidents
• Illness and disease.
• Epidemics.
• Emergency slaughter of the animal(s) on grounds of necessity on the advice of qualified Veterinary Surgeon as a result of accidents, illness disease or epidemics.
